There are dreams that you don’t dare to dream. Perhaps because the balanced weight of reality brings the heart closer to the earth and doesn't let it suspend itself at altitude for too long. Even so, life transcends everything and is capable of showing an unexpected happiness that, for not knowing it can exist, does not fit into the most elaborate dream projection. It was like that with me and I will never be able to grateful enough. Mestre Cargaleiro granted me the immeasurable honor of placing my painting next to his work of art, in his magnificent Museum. His painting, inspired by the poem by D. José Tolentino de Mendonça, marked my path forever a few years ago. On that canvas, the most sublime synthesis between poetry and painting is made. The meaning is one and it touches so deeply that the soul comes out liquid and transparent as soon as it meets the eye. I gave my work the title “Window upon the dream”, not assuming that it would open up so frankly. My most sincere gratitude to the generous Mestre Cargaleiro. For everything.
